Redmond O'Neal Arrested On Alleged Narcotics Charges
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Redmond O'Neal, the son of actor Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop after an officer allegedly found heroin in his car.
O'Neal, 26, was arrested about 8:45 a.m., when a motorcycle officer stopped his vehicle near Olympic and Lincoln boulevards in Santa Monica, according to Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis.
O'Neal was being held without bail on a felony probation hold and was expected to appear at the Airport Branch Courthouse on Thursday, Lewis said.
Last August, O'Neal graduated from a drug court program for a pair of drug-possession cases -- one involving possession of heroin and methamphetamine and the other involving possession of methamphetamine.
He is still on probation for his no-contest plea to a felony drug charge stemming from his arrest in a county jail parking lot in Castaic.
