Red Flag Warning In Effect For Parts Of SoCal
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Dry and windy conditions through and below the passes and canyons of Southern California have prompted officials to issue a red flag warning for the region.
The warning will be in effect through 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The warning was issued for Orange County's coastal areas as well as the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside along with the San Bernardino County Mountains and Inland Empire, according to the National Weather Service.
Sustained winds are expected between 20 to 30 miles per hour in parts of the region with gusts in upwards of 65 miles per hour through and below the passes and canyons.
The NWS says the winds will decrease by afternoon and through Monday.
