Raytheon Lays Off 130 Workers In El Segundo
EL SEGUNDO (AP) — Raytheon Co. is laying off 130 workers in El Segundo as part of a cost-cutting move.
Raytheon, which develops and builds radars and other sensors used in military aircraft and satellites, has about 7,500 employees in El Segundo.
Besides the El Segundo cuts, about 30 Raytheon workers at Raytheon SAS in Texas got layoff notices on Thursday.
Raytheon spokesman Ron Colman told the Daily Breeze in Torrance that the local layoffs won't have any impact on contracts, noting some current programs are about to end.
