Rain Expected Across SoCal Starting Sunday
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Rain expected to move into Southern California Sunday could last through Wednesday of next week.
"Rain and snow, heavy at times, will spread across the area Sunday with the snow level above 3,000 feet," a statement by the National Weather Service said.
The rain is expected to reach the Los Angeles area Sunday afternoon with highs in the upper 50s and wind speeds around 15 mph. Showers will continue through Sunday night with lows dropping into the 40s.

The chance of rain is 70 percent on Monday, 30 percent Monday night and Tuesday, and 20 percent Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Snow could accumulate across the Antelope Valley and foothills Sunday night through Monday, making driving treacherous across the mountains and high desert.
A winter storm warning will be in effect for the mountains from 9 a.m. Sunday to 6 p.m. Monday, while the Antelope Valley will be under a winter storm watch from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon.
As much as a foot of snow could fall on the Golden State (5) Freeway Grapevine over the next two days.
Gusty winds may also cause whiteout conditions with sustained winds of 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph predicted.
Cold winds could push the snow level down to 2,000 feet, meaning snow is possible in Lancaster and other high desert cities Sunday. A half-foot of snow is possible there by Sunday night.
