Raiders WR Murphy Arrested For Possession Of Viagra
(CBS) -- The Gainesville Sun is reporting Oakland Raiders WR Louis Murphy was arrested early Sunday morning, charging him with possession of a drug without a valid prescription, resisting arrest and failure to obey a police officer after being pulled over for playing his stereo too loudly.
Murphy reportedly refused to present identification and demanded to know why the arresting officer pulled him over. After refusing, officers then tried to handcuff Murphy, who continued to refuse before 3 officers were able to place him into custody.
After consenting to a vehicle search, officers found, "non-labeled prescription bottle containing 11 pills later identified as Viagra." Murphy reportedly told the officer that he peeled the label off the bottle, "because he did not want his girlfriend to know he had a prescription for it."
All charges are misdemeanors.
