Pursuit On 110 Freeway Ends In Crash
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A police pursuit ended Friday morning after a driver slammed his van into a pole.
Los Angeles police officers responded to a report of gunshots near a 7-Eleven store on 53rd and Figueroa streets around 1:50 a.m. and saw a van fleeing the scene.
When officers tried to pull the driver over, a pursuit ensued on the 110 Freeway.
The suspects inside the van tossed a weapon out of the vehicle before it crashed at Sepulveda and Lincoln boulevards near LAX in Westchester.
All three suspects were arrested and taken to a local hospital, the LAPD said.
The victim who was wounded in the initial shooting was also transported to a local hospital where he died.
