Pujols Is Day-To-Day With Right Calf Inflammation
BOSTON(CBSLA.com) Albert Pujols' MRI test on his right calf and knee revealed no structural damage after he was pulled after hobbling during Wednesday's night game against the Boston Red Sox.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia left Pujols, who is diagnosed with a right calf inflammation, out the lineup for Thursday -- the final game of a 3-game series in Boston. He is day-to-day.
Pujols, who injured his calf heading to third on a Kendry Morales groundout, is second behind Mark Trumbo in home runs with 28.
"I feel way better today," said Pujols to The Times."I'm walking better, and I have some strength. Hopefully, it's nothing too bad. I hope it's just day to day."
CJ Wilson and the Angels are looking for a 3-game sweep Thursday night.
