Public Memorial Service Held For Mother, Brother Of Hannah Anderson
SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) — A public memorial service Saturday was held to remember the mother and brother of kidnap victim, Hannah Anderson.
The afternoon service for Christina Anderson and her 8-year-old son, Ethan, got underway at the Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church in Santee. Their remains were found in the burned out home of longtime family friend, James DiMaggio on Aug. 4.
"I can say that it has been and still is the very worst tragedy to befall our entire heritage as a family but I want to say to the family and friends and the neighbors, the public, and for sure law enforcement, we thank you for your tremendous support of our family," David Braun's, Christina's uncle, said.

The 40-year-old DiMaggio is accused of slaying the pair, before allegedly abducting Anderson's 16-year-old daughter, Hannah.
A 6-day search for Hannah led authorities to the Idaho wilderness where DiMaggio was fatally shot by an FBI agent.
A spokesperson for the DiMaggio family this week said that his sister has DNA samples from him and would like to use them to determine whether he fathered Hannah and Ethan.
The family suspects that DiMaggio may have had a physical relationship with the children's mother. They found it odd that DiMaggio changed his life insurance beneficiary to Hannah's paternal grandmother, Bernice. In 2011, his sister was removed from the policy, valued at $112,000.
Hannah's father, Brett Anderson, says speculation about who the children's real father is is "disgusting."
