Public Asked To Help Identify Body Found Floating Near Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities are asking the public help identify the body of a man found floating near the Port of Long Beach last month.

A kayaker found the body on September 6 around 7:30 a.m., said coroner's Chief Craig Harvey.

The man was "not visually identifiable," Harvey said.

The unidentified male was described as white,about 55 years of age or older, 6 feet tall and weighing 187 pounds. He was balding with gray hair, and was missing a right upper incisor. He had no tattoos or scars.

He was wearing gray shorts with a blue stripe; a cloth belt; gray briefs; a blue "Under Armour" shirt in a size medium; a yellow metal rope-
type necklace with an "S" charm; and a white metal Casio wristwatch with a black band.

He was also carrying a set of keys to a General Motors vehicle.
