Protesters Continue To Demonstrate Outside Cosby Show In Denver
DENVER (CBS/AP) — A woman who says Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her said Saturday that Cosby put drugs in her cappuccino when she went to see one of his shows in Denver in 1986.
Beth Ferrier says the next thing she remembered was waking up hours later in the back of her car "practically naked."
Ferrier, a model, has said previously she was assaulted by Cosby and recounted her story at a news conference shortly before the comedian took the stage Saturday.
Ferrier told People.com in 2006 that following the drugging incident she remained in a consensual relationship with the comedian for months.
The 77-year-old comedian is facing sexual assault accusations from at least 15 women, with some of the claims dating back decades. He has denied the allegations through his attorney and has never been charged with a crime.
Cosby was slated to perform two shows Saturday at Denver's Buell Theatre.
Inside the theatre, Cosby was greeted with a standing ovation.
Lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents several of the alleged victims, was at the Saturday demonstrations.
"For most of these women," Allred said, "They were not actresses, didn't want to be actresses. They were typical women."
More than 100 people chanted "Rape is not a joke!" and "No means no!" outside the theatre.
On Friday, about two dozen people protested outside a venue where Cosby was performing in Pueblo.
