Prized Show Dog Found Safe After Being Taken From Yard
NORTHRIDGE (CBS2) — A prized show dog that was taken from the front yard of a Northridge home has been found safe.
Everest the dog is believed to have been dropped off about 7 a.m. Saturday, according to Jeanne Summers, the dog owner's mother.
The theft happened about 6 p.m. Thursday when Shauna, the dog owner, was at work. Jeanne says she let Everest run around in the front yard as she cleaned the kennel alongside the house.
That's when she heard a yelp, ran outside and noticed the gate unlatched.
The dog, which is worth several thousand dollars, has won ribbons with the American Kennel Club.
