Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump To Hold Campaign Events In LA, OC
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will visit the Southland to hold rallies just 15 days ahead of the California primary election.
On Monday, Sanders held "A Future to Believe In" rally in Lincoln Heights that drew an enthusiastic crowd in the sweltering heat. He touched upon many of his touchstone issues at the rally, including plans to combat wealth inequality and the need for campaign finance reform. He also appeared Monday evening at a rally in Santa Monica and sounded similar themes.
Clinton is schedule to hold a $2,700 per person fundraiser at the home of Bryan Lourd, managing partner of Creative Arts Agency, and Bruce Bozzi, co-owner of The Palm restaurants chain. Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine Vogue, will also host the event. A separate fundraiser will be held in Hancock Park with tickets priced at $1,000 per person.
On Tuesday, Clinton will join Rep. Karen Bass, D-Los Angeles, in a discussion on Foster Care in South Los Angeles. Sanders is schedule to hold a rally at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Campaign rallies will continue on Wednesday for Clinton and Trump in Orange County.
