Preliminary Hearing Set For Bryan Stow Beating Suspects
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 13 for the suspects accused of beating Giants fan Bryan Stow in the Dodger Stadium parking lot on opening day.
The hearing for Louie Sanchez, 29, and Marvin Norwood, 30, is expected to last three days, according to court officials.
The Rialto neighbors pleaded not guilty to mayhem, assault, battery and other counts in August.
Attorneys for Dodgers' owner Frank McCourt filed a civil action against Sanchez and Norwood earlier this year as part of their strategy in defending a $50 million lawsuit filed by Stow's family.
Stow, whose condition has been improving slowly, spoke for the first time since the attack back in September.
He remains hospitalized with brain damage and other injuries.
