Pregnancy Awareness Month Kicks Off in LA
Pregnancy Awareness Month® is celebrated nationally during the month of May, with a celebrity-studded kickoff event in Los Angeles.
PAM was established in 2008 by author & lifestyle expert Anna Getty and producer & mompreneur Alisa Donner. Their mission is to empower, inspire and build a community of support for expectant women and families. The campaign focuses on four key initiatives: Education, Exercise, Nutrition & Wellness, and Nurture.
PAM has quickly blossomed into a variety of grassroots events across the country every May. Their big kick-off event happens this Sunday, May 6, at the Skirball Center, and will be co-hosted hosted by performing artist Lisa Loeb, actress Catherine McCord, makeup magnate Josie Maran, and PAM co-founder Anna Getty. This is a free event for pregnant women, new parents, new grandparents, and families with young children, created especially to provide information, meet trusted baby gear manufacturers, and have fun! The event will feature live performances and panels.
Throughout the month of May there are other events that 'Celebrate Mama' and many throughout Southern California. You can also follow PAM on Twitter and Facebook for more updates and Twitter parties, and the website is available 24/7 providing tips, new products and social connection for all.
