Powerball Jackpot Swells To $400M, California Player Wins $1M
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — No one matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball draw and the estimated jackpot for next Wednesday is $400 million.
The winning numbers picked Saturday are 21, 34, 36, 42, 45. The Powerball number was 15.
One California player picked 5/5 (missing the Powerball) and won $1,159.103.
That ticket was sold in Milpitas, a city near San Jose, at the Landess Arco Service Station (1575 Landess Avenue, 95035).
Four other players -- in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Washington -- also had 5/5 tickets and will also win $1 million.
Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Draws for the $2 game are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Powerball starts at $40 million. The record jackpot reached $590 million in May 2013.
