Power Restored To 4 Anaheim-Area Hotels After Outage
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Electricity Saturday was restored to four Anaheim-area hotels after two suspected copper thieves allegedly caused a power outage.
The hotels near Disneyland Park went dark around 9 p.m. Friday after witnesses say they heard an explosion.
The blast came from a vacant hotel on Katella Avenue.
Police said the pair was located behind a locked gate and in close proximity to two electrical panels.
The suspects suffered severe burns and were listed in critical condition. Their injuries were described as life threatening.
Power was restored about four hours later.
