Power Outage Leaves 4,071 In The Dark In Santa Monica
SANTA MONICA (CBS) — Downed power lines left 4,071 customers in Santa Monica without power Thursday evening, according to a Southern California Edison official.
The outage started around 6:30 p.m. near Main Street, said Scott Andresen of Southern California Edison.
Power was restored to approximately 2,800 customers by 9:45 p.m., Andresen said.
Crews were repairing the fallen wires, but it was unknown when service would be restored for the remaining 1,200 customers, Andresen said.
Aaron Fitzgerald, reporting over the scene in Sky9, said a 9-square block area was still in the dark at 9:15 p.m.
