Portions Of 91 Freeway To Be Closed In Anaheim, Corona Throughout Weekend
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Not one but two portions of the Riverside (91) Freeway will be shut down throughout the weekend in Orange County and Corona.
Starting Friday night, the 91 Express Lanes and sections of the left lane of the 91 Freeway just west of the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway will be closed over 10 weekends (PDF). Work will begin on the eastbound lanes Friday night, with closures beginning at 11 p.m. and reopening by 6 a.m. Monday.
When work on the westbound lanes begin on Friday, Oct. 14, the closures will begin at 8 p.m. Fridays and end by 4 a.m. Mondays, according to Caltrans.
About 10 miles away in Corona, the eastbound 91 Freeway will be closed at the Interstate 15 connector bridge, starting at 11:45 p.m. and will not re-open until 9 a.m. Saturday for a repaving project.
Riverside County Transportation officials say the Eastbound 91 at Maple Street will also be shut down for bridge demolition from Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. to Sunday at noon.
