Pomona Streets Reopen As Crews Repair Sink Hole

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Officials have reopened several roads Saturday that were shut down due to a water main break that caused a sink hole to form yesterday.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Rancho Novato and Avenida Rancheros were reopened as of 2:00 a.m.

The water main break occurred on shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday located in the Phillips Ranch community.

Officials advised motorists to avoid the area as a result of debris found in the roadway.

Water was shut off for most of the day while crews made repairs to the area. Hydrants were also out of service in the immediate area.

It was unclear what caused the water main to break and how big the sink whole was.
