Poll Finds Half Of Calif. Voters Financially Worse Off In '11; First Time Ever
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One in two California voters believe their personal financial situation is worse off than it was one year ago, according to a survey released Tuesday.
The new Field Poll findings marks the fourth consecutive year in which at least half of Californians reported a decline in their economic status - a first for the survey in over 50 years of polling.
KNX 1070's John Brooks reports an overwhelming 91 percent of voters said that California's economy is in bad shape, according to the survey.

And despite calls from both sides of the political aisle to take major steps to lower California's jobless rate, 42 percent expect the economy to remain the same over the next year.
Nearly one-third of respondents — 30 percent — said the economy is likely to worsen going into 2012.
"I'm not hopeful," said one woman.
Professionals in other fields that were hit earlier and harder than the rest of the economy at large warned counterparts to brace for a hard impact.
"I come from the music industry that got hit way before the film industry, so it's scary," said one man.
