Police Witness Fatal Shooting Outside Boyle Height Church
BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBS) — A man was killed Thursday in a gang-related shooting outside a church in Boyle Heights, reportedly witnessed by police who were patrolling in the area.
A man and a boy were arrested in connection with the killing, police said.
The fatal shooting occurred around 2 p.m. near 1414 E. Cesar Chavez Ave., near the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, said Lt. Richard Thomas of the Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck station.
"Officers were driving in that area and they witnessed the shooting," Thomas said. "This resulted in the arrest of two suspects."
The victim and suspects were all Latino males, said Thomas, who did not release any of their names.
