Police Step Up Hunt For Driver Who Fled Arco Station With Attendant Hanging On To Car Hood
VAN NUYS (CBS) — Los Angeles police Wednesday stepped up the hunt for a man who got into a beef with an Arco station attendant who was carried about a half-mile on the hood of the man's red Toyota Camry before falling off.
The run-in at 15711 Victory Blvd. occurred about 11 p.m. Friday, and the attendant, Jorge Grimaldi, suffered serious injuries.
"To keep the suspect from leaving, the gas station employee stood in front of the suspect's car," police said. "The suspect drove toward the employee, forcing him onto the hood of the car."
A roughly 250-pound black man in his 30s or 40s, with salt-and-pepper hair, was driving the Camry LE, with a partial license of 6SNL, police said.
