Police arrest man connected to homicide in Westminster

Police have arrested a suspect connected to a man's death in Westminster early Saturday morning. 

The incident happened at around 5:45 a.m. in the 9200 block of Bolsa Avenue, according to the Westminster Police Department. 

Officers were called after learning of a man down in the area who was bleeding from the head, according to a statement from police. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics. He has not yet been identified and investigators have not yet disclosed the nature of his death. 

"Using investigative leads and a lengthy canvass of the area, detectives identified a suspect and located him at a nearby shopping center," police said in a statement released on Monday. 

The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Hoa Le. He was booked at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. 

"The motive for the attack is unclear at this time," police said. "There currently does not appear to be any outstanding suspects or further threat to the public."
