Police searching for hit-and-run driver that fled scene of crash on I-215 in Riverside
Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fled from the scene of a crash on I-215 in Riverside on Tuesday morning.
It happened at around 11:30 a.m. on the Columbia Avenue off-ramp of southbound lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers say that the driver of a sedan crashed into another car while exiting, which caused the sedan to crash into the guardrail and knock over several street signs.
The driver then sped away from the scene. Investigators have not yet provided information on the car or suspect involved.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment on injuries considered to be minor to moderate, according to the Riverside Fire Department.
