Police Search For Sexual Assailant In Cypress

CYPRESS (CBS) — Police say they are searching for a man who reportedly robbed and sexually assaulted a 27-year-old woman in Cypress.

The woman was getting out of her car in the 9000 block of Holder Street about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday when a man forced her back into the car, sexually assaulted her and stole her property and cash, said Cypress police Sgt. Tom Bruce.

The man was last seen running away from the carport toward Holder Street.

The woman said her attacker was a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet and 6 inches tall, and weighed about 140 pounds, with a goatee and acne. She said he was wearing a black sweater, white T-shirt and dark jeans, Bruce said.

Anyone with information on the suspect was asked to call Cypress police detectives at (714) 229-6631. All tips can be made anonymously.
