Police Search For Man Armed With Gun In LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police searched for a man Sunday who was reportedly armed with a gun.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers looked the area of Gage Avenue to 69th Street and Figueroa Street to Estrella Avenue shortly before 7:30 a.m.
Officials advised residents in the area to lock their doors and remain inside until the scene was cleared around 9:15 a.m.
The suspect reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained from a self-inflicted gunshot wound shortly after 8:00 a.m. in the 6500 block of South Denver Avenue.
No other injuries were reported.
Police explained it was safe to resume normal activities.
