Police: San Bernardino Man Stabbed Resident Over Argument About A Woman

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — A 49-year-old man was in custody Friday for allegedly stabbing a male victim after an argument broke out.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Frederick Sheppard was booked on murder charges at the Central Detention Center.

Officers were sent just after 7:30 a.m. to a residence located in the 700 block of East Orange Show Road for reports of a male victim that had been stabbed.

Once on scene, they found a 34-year-old resident suffering from a stab wound to his upper torso.

Officials said the victim was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, but died a short time later.

According to police, the victim and Sheppard got into an argument over a female, which led to the fatal stabbing.

Sheppard, who also lived at the residence, was arrested on property without incident, authorities said.

Officers said they conducted search warrants at several locations on the property in an attempt to locate evidence.

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification.
