Suspect Arrested After Injuring 3 Women, Dog In Stabbing Spree
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A suspect Wednesday was taken into custody after injuring several people and a dog in a stabbing spree in Burbank.
Officials say a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans went on the spree just after 11 p.m. in the 700 block of Roselli Street.
Three women — ages 21, 41 and 67 — were hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
A dog was also seen limping around the scene.
The Santa Clarita man, who was armed with a pocket knife, was taken into custody just before 6:30 a.m.
Late Wednesday, authorities identified the stabbing suspect as 29-year-old Cameron Hansen of Valencia.
They said his alleged victims included his ex-girlfriend, her mother and her grandmother.
Lance Jaquette told the Burbank Leader that his 21-year-old sister had just ended a two-year relationship with the alleged attacker, a background actor.
His sister has a head wound, his mother has 18 stab wounds and a collapsed lung, and his grandmother was stabbed six times, according to Jaquette.
