Police In Simi Valley Subdue Bleeding Knife-Wielding Suspect

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police in Simi Valley subdued a bleeding man -- who was wielding a kitchen knife -- Saturday afternoon.

The man, later identified as 34-year-old Eric Logue of Simi Valley, was reportedly walking eastbound 1n the 1700 block of Royal Avenue when police encountered him.

Logue was wielding a kitchen knife in his right hand, said authorities.  Officials said Logue had several self-inflicted knife wounds on his left wrist. He refused repeated requests to drop the knife, said authorities.

Police used a Taser on Logue to subdue him.

The incident occurred around 1:07 p.m.

Logue was booked at the East Valley Sheriff's Station for resisting arrest and obstructing officers following treatment at Simi Valley Hospital.

No officers were injured.
