Police In Montebello Release Video Of Person Of Interest Possibly Involved In Kidnapping Of 1-Year-Old
MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Montebello police released new video showing a second person in connection with the kidnapping of a 1-year-old boy Thursday.
Police said the person of interest drove into a parking lot in Pico Rivera in what they believe to be a Toyota Yaris that picked up the kidnapping suspect from the stolen minivan parked in a corner.

"A happy ending, that's the good part," said Culichi Town restaurant manager Jaime Castillo.
He says on Thursday night, his boss and colleagues were driving to work listening to news about 1-year-old Caleb Castro. An Amber Alert was issued for the child after someone jumped into his mom's minivan and drove away at a recycling center in Montebello, while Caleb was still in the backseat.
When Jaime's boss and colleagues arrived at work and got out of their car around 6 p.m., they heard a baby crying from inside a car parked here in the corner.

"So, when they heard the baby crying, they saw the truck and they kind of like, oh, they matched it up together and then we're like, oh, that's it! Then they went in, door was open, they opened the door, the baby was in there and right away called 911," Castillo said.
Last night, Maria Castro -- Caleb's mother -- was all smiles when she was reunited with the baby but investigators were still searching for the carjacking suspect. Tonight, police hope this person they are calling a "person of interest" will come forward and talk to investigators. They aren't sure if he knew what his passenger had just allegedly done.
As for Jaime's boss who heard Caleb's cries and called police, he was glad the story didn't end tragically.
"He was just happy the baby was okay, that's what he told us, the baby was OK, he was crying, there was nobody else in there, he wasn't hurt," Castillo said.
