Police Chase Stolen-Car Suspect In South LA
CENTURY CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police chased a stolen-car suspect Wednesday in South LA.
The chase started on Figueroa where the suspect was driving more than 60 mph on side streets, officials said.
The suspect was believed to be a female, according to Sky 2's Stu Mundel.
The suspect was driving "very recklessly," Mundel reported.
The pursuit started in the Century area near the northbound 110 Freeway, near 105th Street.
The driver turned off the headlights at one point during the chase.
The suspect jumped out of the gray Volkswagen Jetta in the Exposition Park area and ran into a small apartment building.
Mundel said, "she apparently knew where she was going."
Police continued to search for the driving in housing units near Exposition Park.
