Police Bust 2 For Allegedly Stealing $100K Worth Of SUV Seats
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Authorities Friday arrested two people suspected of stealing third row sport utility vehicle seats throughout the Southland over the past two years.
Police estimated the thefts at $100,000.
Veshan Wooden, 22, of Hawthorne, and Layfayette Automii Joseph, 23, of Los Angeles, were arrested Friday in Riverside on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn said.
Wooden and Joseph stole the third row seats out of larger General Motors sport utility vehicles, Dunn said.
Anaheim police made the arrests with help from the Orange County Auto Theft task force, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies as well as police from Los Angeles, Torrance, Riverside and Inglewood, Dunn said.
