Police Ask For Public's Help To Locate Missing South Pasadena Teen
UPDATE (8:30 p.m.): The girl has been located, police announced Sunday evening.
SOUTH PASADENA (CBS) — Police are asking for the public's help to find a 16-year-old girl missing in South Pasadena.
Erika Kristine Rodriguez was last seen around 3 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of El Centro Avenue, according to South Pasadena police.
The teen was dropped off at school Friday morning, but police say she ditched classes with her boyfriend. Rodriguez asked her boyfriend to go to Santa Barbara with her for a few days. But he declined.
Rodriguez does not have her cell phone with her, and police believe she ran away from home due to a recent family argument.
The missing girl is 5 feet-5 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has the word "Christian" tattooed on her left side and her tongue is pierced.
The teen was last seen wearing a gray tank top, dark blue shorts and black and white flip flops.
Police said the boyfriend last saw Rodriguez walking to a local restaurant to meet a friend he did not know. It was unknown whether or not she decided to go to Santa Barbara without him.
Police urged anyone with information regarding the missing girl's whereabouts to immediately contact police.
