Pilot Injured In Ultralight Plane Crash In Riverside County
LAKEVIEW (CBS) — A pilot suffered some injures after his small plane crashed in Lakeview Thursday.
The ultralight plane crashed at about 8:30 a.m. near the Ramona Expressway and Reservoir Avenue, north of the Perris Valley Airport, Riverside County Fire spokeswoman Cheri Patterson said.
The pilot was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No one was hurt on the ground, Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Melissa Nieburger said.
The Federal Aviation Administration was not called to investigate the accident because ultralights don't fall under the agency's purview.
