Person Of Interest Sought In Murder Of Redondo Beach Woman

REDONDO BEACH (CBS) — Police are searching for a person of interest in connection to the murder of a Redondo Beach woman.

Redondo Beach police will hold a 3 p.m. news conference Wednesday regarding the search for 49-year-old Russell Scott Goldberg.

Police received a call around 9 a.m. Wednesday for a welfare check of a woman who lived in an apartment in the 1200 block of Agate Street.

"Redondo Beach Police Officers checked the apartment and discovered a deceased female adult in the apartment. Redondo Beach Police Investigators are investigating this incident as a Homicide and suspect foul play," officials said in a statement.

The connection between the victim and Goldberg was not released by authorities.

Goldberg is believed to be driving a 2007 Green Saturn Vue with a California license plate 6NAP316. The car has a yellow bumper sticker affixed to the rear bumper diagonally.

Anyone who sees Goldberg or knows of his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
