Person Of Interest Questioned In Valley Triple Homicide
SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — A person of interest in a triple homicide Monday was being held on $1 million bail, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Alexander Hernandez, 34, was taken into custody Sunday night following a standoff with SWAT at a Sylmar home.
He was being held for suspicion of animal cruelty in connection with the killing of two dogs on Saturday, police said.
While investigators did not officially connect the man to Sunday's shootings, one weapon was recovered upon his arrest, police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said leads led them to a tan or gold SUV that was located at a residence in the area of Polk Street and Kismet Avenue.
The man is possibly linked to a Sunday morning drive-by murder spree that occurred over the course of 60 minutes in San Fernando, Sylmar and Pacoima.
KNX 1070's Jon Baird reports Gloria Tovar was on her way to church in Pacoima when she was gunned down.

"There's glass on the floor, so they shot through the window," said Tovar.
The paper has also identified a second victim as 22-year-old Mariana Franco, who was wheelchair bound.
The third victim, described as a man in his 20s or 30s, was not identified.
Several others were also wounded in the shootings.
Police believe two men were responsible for the spree.
A motive has not been released and it was unclear if any of the victims were connected.
