Pedestrian Struck By Amtrak Train In Oceanside
OCEANSIDE (CBS) — A pedestrian was injured Thursday when she was struck by a commuter train at a North County rail station.
The southbound Amtrak locomotive hit the woman at Oceanside Transit Center shortly after 1 p.m., according to sheriff's officials.
Authorities said paramedics took the victim to a hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
It was unclear if she walked or fell in front of the train accidentally, or if she was trying to commit suicide, according to police.
