Pedestrian, 24, Fatally Struck By Metrolink Train In East LA
EAST LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Coroner's Office has identified the 24-year-old man fatally struck by a Metrolink train Friday in East LA.
The pedestrian was identified as LA resident Ismael Viramontes, Coroner's Lt. David Smith said.
The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. Friday near 5150 State University Drive, said Lt. Mike Mendoza of the sheriff's Transit Services Bureau.
Viramontes was pronounced dead at the scene.
