Pea-Sized Hail Scatters Across Huntington Beach
ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Residents woke up on Monday to a rare sighting of hail in Huntington Beach.

Although it did appear to look like snow, the National Weather Service has confirmed a dusting of pea-sized hail scattered throughout the area.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m., reports of nearby lightning strikes in Newport Beach prompted voluntary evacuations of all beaches, piers, and exposed areas, authorities added.
On Friday, the NWS issued a winter weather advisory for Southern California, which remains in effect through 6:00 p.m. this evening.
