Pastor Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Girl, 8
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS) — An Orange County pastor and youth soccer coach is free on bail Friday after being arrested for allegedly molesting an 8-year-old girl.
Christopher Raymond Olague, of Westminster, was arrested on Oct. 5 on charges of committing lewd acts on a child and preventing/dissuading a witness.
Officials say the alleged molestation took place on Wednesday afternoon when Olague, 39, picked up the girl for a play date with one of his children.
Instead of taking the girl to the play date, Olague allegedly drove her to Huntington Beach park and molested her in his car, police said. Before taking the girl home, Olague gave the victim $40 to persuade her not to tell her parents what happened.
Once the girl was dropped off, she told her parents who then contacted police and arrested Olague.
He is free on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be in court on Nov. 28.
Huntington Beach Police believe there may be more victims. Olague is a pastor at Refuge Southland Church in Buena Park. He also has ties to coaching youth soccer. Anyone who believes their child may be a victim of Olague's should contact Det. Kevin Johnson at (714) 960-8834 or Det. Mike Szyperski (714) 536-5988.
