Passenger Killed, Driver Seriously Hurt When Harley-Davidson Rear-Ends Car
SAN JACINTO (CBSLA.com) — A passenger on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was killed and the driver seriously injured when the bike slammed into the back of a car early Saturday in San Jacinto.
Officials suspect the collision was caused by drunken driving.
The crash was reported shortly before 1 a.m. at State and Seventh streets, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The motorcycle reportedly rear-ended a Honda Civic, causing the Harley's driver and passenger to be thrown onto the street.
The victims were air-lifted to a hospital with major injuries. The passenger was later pronounced dead.
The driver and three passengers in the Honda were not injured.
