Pasadena Professor Who Taught Porn Class Resigns
PASADENA (AP) — A Pasadena City College professor who drew protests after inviting porn actors to his class has resigned.
College officials said in a statement they accepted Hugo Schwyzer's resignation that was effective Wednesday. The college had launched an investigation into Schwyzer after he admitted on his website that he had sex with several students in recent years.
The investigation is now closed since he is no longer employed at the college.
Earlier this year, Schwyzer invited school alumnus porn star James Deen to speak in a gender studies class that examined the changing role of pornography in society.
In August, Schwyzer said he would stop teaching the class due to pressure from college administrators as well as hate comments he received on social media because of his other writings on gender issues.
