Parole Agent Hospitalized In Serious Condition After Wednesday's Shooting
LAKE VIEW TERRACE (CBS) — A parole agent remains hospitalized after he was shot in the face while attempting to apprehend a felon Wednesday afternoon.
A task force of parole agents were looking for 43-year-old Steven Hoff, a two-strike felon, when he allegedly opened fire on them.
Hoff fled the scene, which prompted a five-hour manhunt that forced the closure of the 210 Freeway and Foothill Boulevard.
He was eventually flushed out by a police dog.
The victim, whose name has not been released, is in serious but stable condition.
