Parking Restrictions For Sunday's Hollywood Christmas Parade Announced
HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Hollywood officials have announced a series of parking restrictions for Sunday's Hollywood Christmas Parade...take note, or your ho, ho, ho...could easily turn into a tow, tow, tow.
People attending the parade should use public transit if possible, said parade spokesperson Bruce Gillman.
Illegally parked vehicles will be towed to the Official Police Garage, 1015 N. Mansfield Ave. in Hollywood.
"Tow-Away, No Stopping" zones will be in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday on Hollywood Boulevard, between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive, and on Orange Drive between Hollywood Boulevard and Hawthorn Avenue.
Other "Tow-Away No Stopping" zones from 6 a.m. to midnight Sunday will be:
-- Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea and Orange;
-- Hawthorn Avenue between La Brea and McCadden Place;
-- Lanewood Avenue between La Brea and Orange;
-- Sunset Boulevard between Highland and La Brea;
-- De Longpre Avenue between Highland and La Brea;
-- Fountain Avenue between Highland and La Brea;
-- El Cerrito Place between Franklin Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard;
-- Sycamore Avenue between Franklin and Hawthorn avenues;
-- Sycamore between Sunset Boulevard and Fountain Avenue;
-- Orange Drive between Franklin Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard;
-- Orange Drive between Hawthorn Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard;
-- Mansfield Avenue between De Longpre and Fountain;
-- McCadden Place between Yucca Street and Hawthorn Avenue; and
-- Las Palmas Avenue between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue.
"Tow-Away, No Stopping zones" from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday include:
-- Hollywood Boulevard between Cherokee Avenue and Vine Street;
-- Vine between Hollywood and Sunset boulevards;
-- Sunset Boulevard between Vine Street and Highland Avenue;
-- Santa Monica Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and Gower Street;
-- Highland Avenue between Franklin Avenue and Sunset Boulevard;
-- La Brea Avenue between Franklin and Fountain Avenues (east side of
street only); and
-- Cahuenga Boulevard between Yucca Street and Hollywood Boulevard (west side of street only).
"Tow-Away, No Stopping, Anytime Sunday," include:
-- Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Cherokee Aveniue;
-- Yucca Street between Gower and Argyle streets (north side of street only);
-- La Brea Avenue between Sunset Boulevard and De Longpre Avenue (west side of street only);
-- Vine Street between Fountain and Lexington avenues (west side of street only);
-- Alta Vista Boulevard between Fountain Avenue and 100 northerly; and
-- Sunset Boulevard between Vermont and New Hampshire avenues (north side of street only).
Also, the northbound and southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway off ramps at Cahuenga Boulevard and Highland Avenue will be closed from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
