Palmdale Father Accused Of Raping His Daughter, 11
PALMDALE (CBS) — Authorities are accusing a Palmdale father in the rape, over a two-year period, of his own daughter who is now 11.
Christopher Martinez, 33, was taken into custody Tuesday.
Martinez was taken into custody after a two-week investigation, according to Deputy Lillian Peck of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The investigation began Aug. 13 when the victim reported she had been
repeatedly raped over the last two years in several locations, including the
suspect's residence in Palmdale.
The alleged victim also said she was assaulted inside an Antelope Valley motel room.
Five felony counts were filed against Martinez on Sept. 15, and a warrant was issued for his arrest with a bail of $4,000,000.
Martinez was not located until today when detectives from the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau found his car parked in the area of 5th and Westmoreland streets in Koreatown.
Martinez was inside a nearby residence belonging to one of his relatives. Detectives were let into the home and arrested Martinez there without incident.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at the Antelope Valley Courthouse.
