PAC-10 Football Getting National Respect
PHOENIX (AP) -- The Pac-10's coaches spent a good part of the preseason talking about this year being one of the most wide-open in conference history.
They seem to be right, at least for the most part.
With five teams in the Top 25 and talent throughout, the Pac-10 has indeed become a league where it seems any team can beat any other.
The only separation seems to be at the top, where Oregon, Stanford and Arizona have become the front-runners.
The fifth-ranked Ducks have been nearly unstoppable, outscoring their first three opponents 189-13. The No. 16 Cardinal have been equally spirit-crushing, winning three games by a combined 114 points.
The Wildcats rose to No. 14 in the latest poll after pulling out a tough win over Iowa.
