Oxnard School Employee Arrested On Child Sex Abuse Charges
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A Ventura County elementary school employee has been arrested for felony child sex abuse charges.
Gustavo Mayo Canizalez, 29, was arrested on Tuesday evening after allegations surfaced that he had engaged in numerous ongoing acts of sexual abuse with a child between the ages of 12 and 16 years old, police said.
Canizalez works as an office manager at Harrington Elementary School in Oxnard, according to authorities.
Police say the victim was not associated with the school.
"At this time in the investigation there is no indication of any other victims within the Oxnard Elementary School District," police said in a statement.
