Oxnard Man Accused Of Serial Armed Robbery In Custody
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A 35-year-old man was in custody Friday for allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store six times.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, Ramon Rodriguez of Oxnard was taken into custody on Thursday and was charged with armed robbery.
According to police, between Nov. 13, 2013 and March 10, 2014, Rodriguez had robbed the convenience store located in the 2200 block of East Channel Islands Boulevard.
Rodriguez reportedly used elaborate and different disguises during each robbery, which made it difficult to connect him to the crimes, detectives said.
As the robberies continued, however, it became apparent based on information discovered at the scenes that the robberies were all committed by Rodriguez.
Officers did not disclose what was stolen or if any injuries were reported in the crimes.
Once in custody, officers said Rodriguez admitted to committing all six of the robberies.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is urged to contact detectives at (805) 982-7070.
