Oxnard Man, 44, In Critical Condition After Being Stabbed Multiple Times
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A 44-year-old Oxnard man is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times Sunday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Mercantile Street regarding a stabbing just before 9 p.m.
Upon arrival they found a 44-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times.
The victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center and underwent emergency surgery. The man is listed in critical condition. His name was withheld.
Authorities were able to identify and locate a suspect. They arrested Ismael Godinez, 48, in the 2400 block of Balboa Street.
The motive for the attack is unknown.
Investigators are talking to several witnesses, said authorities.
