Oxnard Man, 24, Accused Of Physically Abusing Daughter, 8-Months-Old
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A 24-year-old Oxnard man is behind bars after he was arrested for the alleged physical abuse of his 8-month-old daughter.
The Oxnard Police Department's Family Protection Unit arrested Joel Soto Saturday afternoon and charged him with felony physical child abuse.
Oxnard Police said the baby suffered serious injuries to her head, face and leg.
Detectives dispatched to a home in the 300 block of W. Vineyard determined that Soto caused the baby's injuries.
The baby was taken to St. John's Hospital and treated. Her condition was not released.
Soto is currently being held at Ventura County Jail. His bail was set at $20,000.
